I LOVE prom season. It’s actually how I got my start photographing teens and seniors. I love how extra the event is. It’s the high school fashion show of the year. I love everything from the dresses, hair, nails, makeup and all things glitz and glam. Since moving to Texas from North Carolina in 2018, I have not had the opportunity to photograph this joyous event. I actually didn’t think that it was a big deal because while living in El Paso, I never heard of anyone talking about prom. Moving from El Paso to Killeen caused me to miss the 2022 prom season but I am so excited that I had the chance to participate this year.

Prom is one of the many rites of passage of high school, especially for seniors. It’s the last dance before graduation. It’s another chance to capture moments and memories with your friends before going your separate ways for college. So I offered prom mini sessions this year and I got a chance to photograph a few students from various high schools in the area. Check out some of the amazing teens I had the honor and privilege of photographing. I’m so excited for next season!
